The hotel is located in the university area, next door to the National Museum and University of Iceland. Practical for travellers, the guesthouse is near to Reykjavik domestic airport, and BSI long distance bus terminal. Across the street from a park with a pond where various birds gather, and walking distance to the main shopping street in down town Reykjavík and whale watching harbour. The hotel has been a favorite with travelers for many years, and continues to bring the best value accommodation to travelers.The guesthouse is located in a perfect spot for access to downtown Reykjavík. It is a student dormitory during winter time at the University of Iceland. Simple and practical rooms with a sink, miror, closet, shelf, desk, chair, and open window. Linen, towels, breakfast buffet are included. Shared bathrooms are located on each floor and seperated for men and women. Free use of a internet station at lobby. A half of rooms have quiet garden view of the university area and other half have city view including the simbolic church Hallgrimskirkja and the view point Perlan. DRIVE: Drive into Reykjavík on the main road called Miklabraut that will change name to Hringbraut, direction Seltjarnarnes. Garður Inn is located on the left side of Hringbraut, just before you reach the roundabout by the University of Iceland, National Museum and near Radission Hotel Saga. You must so drive around the roundabout and return for about 20 meters on Hringbraut, as the entrance to Garður Inn is located just next door to the National Museum. The guesthouse is a large white 3 story building, well marked with Hotel on the white tower and with Garður Inn Inns of Iceland above the entrance door. There is parking in front of the guesthouse and all around the University campus. AIRPORT SHUTTLE BUS: Fly Bus from Keflavik airport stops at Gardur Inn upon request with extra cost. Please ask at the ticket counter in the airport or check online at Reykjavik Excursions web site.
